VCarve Pro performs many similar tasks, but excels in many areas compared to Fusion. Many of our customers use Autodesk Fusion 360, which is free to enthusiasts. Please note that you do not need this software to run our machines. There is also support to import multiple Vectric Clip Art 3D models (V3M) to create advanced 3D assemblies. There are tools for 2D design and calculation of 2D and 2.5D toolpaths and along with the ability to import and toolpath a single 3D model (STL, OBJ, SKP etc.). VCarve PRO provides a powerful but intuitive software solution for making art, decorations and functional parts with your MillRight CNC machine. This PRO version has UNLIMITED project sizes to take advantage of the movement range of our larger machines and also has nesting features often only found in high end production software.
Vectric VCarve Pro is an excellent choice for those who are serious about making great signs and general projects. Please use the Grbl MM or Grbl Inch Post Processors with our machines. We can not refund any software for any reason. It is your responsibility to make sure the software runs on your system.

The main difference is that VCarve Desktop is limited to a 24×24″ work area, which is perfect for most of our machines. V Carve Pro is about double the price and includes some additional features that are more apt to a production environment (such as part nesting). This is the desktop version of V Carve, which is different than VCarve Pro. VCarve performs many similar tasks, but excels in certain areas compared to Fusion.
The software is used by wood workers, sign makers, prop makers, plastic fabricators, hobbyists and in many others. VCarve includes the functionality demanded for complex work while remaining incredibly easy to use and affordably priced. In addition all toolpaths can be previewed to show just how the part will look when it is actually cut, this allows instant feedback to allow toolpaths to be further optimized. For 3D you can Rough and Finish the model and there are options to project 2D and 2.5D toolpaths onto the 3D surface. The toolpath options cover all typical 2D routing operations such as Profiling, Pocketing, Auto-Inlays and Drilling as well as 2.5D strategies such as V-Carving, Prism carving, Moulding Toolpaths, Fluting and even a decorative Texturing strategy. The software can import 2D designs from other programs but also provides a full set of drawing and editing tools.
